If you're trying to get back in shape, you might be finding it a little more challenging after a certain age. This plan is geared towards the woman who still wants to look her best after 40 and needs a basic exercise regimen to combine with a sensible diet and/or hormone replacement protocol. It requires only some dumbbells, a mat and your own body weight.
This plan is recommended for healthy women who are conditioned but want to lose body fat and get in better shape. This workout is not for people with physical restrictions such as knee or back injuries or other medical restrictions.
What You’ll Need to Follow this Plan

A set of dumbbells. Your exercises require a set of dumbbells to ramp up your at-home workout and help you build strength.
An exercise or yoga mat. As you'll be doing many exercises on the floor, a mat is ideal to ensure you are comfortable.
Your own body weight. Many of your exercises will simply use your own bodyweight to work up a sweat and build strength.
